In March 2021, a new and enlarged edition of the “planetary novel” Pulaster was published by Memoranda as volume 5 of the collected works of Angela and Karlheinz Steinmüller. This new edition comprises not only the appendix “All about Pulaster” of the last edition but also maps of the planet and of the surroundings of the Terrestrial settlement and a chronology of the discovery and exploration of the planet. The book is completed by a dialogue of the authors “From Stern-Buchholz to Pulaster”, that gives insights into the origin of the novel – and an ethnographic glimpse at army life in East Germany.
